How you care for your jewelry depends on what it is made of. Every ipanda product page lists exact materials.
14k gold vermeil
A thick layer of 14k gold over recycled sterling silver. Avoid water, perfume and abrasive cloths; wipe with a soft dry cloth after wearing and store separately.
Sterling silver 925
Silver naturally tarnishes with air and moisture. Store in the provided pouch, keep away from household chemicals, and polish gently with a silver cloth.
Stainless steel & 18k gold PVD
The most low-maintenance option: water-resistant and tarnish-resistant. Rinse after contact with salt water or sweat and pat dry.
EU REACH compliance
All ipanda pieces are designed to meet EU REACH Annex XVII limits for jewelry: nickel release below 0.2 µg/cm²/week for piercings and below 0.5 µg/cm²/week for prolonged skin contact (EN 1811), cadmium ≤ 0.01%, lead ≤ 0.05%. We require accredited-lab test reports (nickel release, lead/cadmium) from suppliers before each production run.
